MnemonicCarrier · On Creating PHP 7 extensions for Linux and Windows ·

Thank you so much! This is really appreciated!! I'll give it a try shortly and read through the code more carefully.

I went to a PHP conference (meetup?) a couple of years back where there was a talk on writing PHP extensions. Unfortunately, it was very unhelpful, as the speakers basically blanket answered most technical questions with "...read the source code..." (they were talking about the PHP source code). Such advice easily scares off would-be extension developers who are trying to get started in this daunting (to the newcomer) endeavor.

Once again - thank you so much for the tutorial. I'll spend some time looking at your other articles :)

If you still have the address you commented with, enter it below: a link is mailed to it, and you can delete the comment yourself at once. You can also do that from Manage my comment.

If you no longer have it, leave the address blank or give the one you remember, and tell the owner what you can about the comment and why you want it removed. The owner reads every request. A removed comment keeps its place in the thread, so the replies to it still make sense, but its name and words are gone.

This page answers the same whether or not the address matches, so it tells nobody who wrote what. What you send here is deleted once the owner has decided.
